Briefly introduce the architecture, components, functions and terminology of industrial control system, and master the basic knowledge of industrial control system. Industrial control system refers to the industrial automation control system, which is mainly realized by the combination of electronics, electricity, machinery and software. It mainly uses computer technology, microelectronics technology and electrical means to make the factory's production and manufacturing process more automatic, efficient, accurate, controllable and visible.
Purdue reference model
Purdue Enterprise Reference Architecture (PERA) model was proposed by Theodore J Williams and members of the Computer Integrated Manufacturing Alliance of Industry Purdue University in the 1990s. The model was adopted by ISA-99 standard (now 1SA/IEC 62443) and other industrial safety standards, and was used as a key concept for network segmentation of industrial control system. Purdue Reference Model is also referred to as "Purdue Model" in the industry of industrial control systems. It is widely used to describe the main interdependence and interconnection between all important components in large industrial control systems. Purdue model is a good starting point for understanding OT environment.
